    Managing Director
    Desire is the visionary Managing Director of Anchored Care, bringing a powerful blend of professional expertise, lived experience, and an unwavering commitment to social justice. With a background in Engineering and IT consultancy, Desire’s early career was marked by technical innovation—yet it was his heart for humanity that ultimately steered him toward the care sector.

    Inspired by his volunteer work in orphanages, Desire founded Art Meets Heart, a Brisbane-based charity empowering underprivileged children around the world through creative expression. His passion for impact-led initiatives continues to shape his leadership journey today.

    At Anchored Care, Desire leads with empathy, strategy, and excellence. Drawing on his strengths in Client Relationship Management, Stakeholder Engagement, Risk and Compliance, and Change Management, he champions a service culture that is both person-centred and performance-driven. His leadership is rooted in his upbringing in a home where compassion and advocacy were foundational—deeply influenced by his mother’s work as a teacher for the hearing and speech impaired.

    Desire’s contribution to Queensland’s business landscape has not gone unnoticed. In recognition of his impact, he was named a finalist in the prestigious 40 Under 40 Awards, a globally recognised program that celebrates the movers, shakers, visionaries, and quiet achievers shaping the future of the state. This honour reflects his bold yet humble leadership, and his commitment to meaningful change within the disability services sector and beyond.

    Outside of his professional pursuits, Desire is a charismatic EmCee, lighting up events with warmth and charm. He is also a devoted husband and father of three, who finds joy in dancing, travelling, and making lasting memories with his family. Whether in the boardroom, on stage, or at home, Desire leads with purpose, authenticity, and a passion for people.

  • Eche

    Director of Operations
    Meet Eche (short for Echezona – go on, give it a try!), the heart-driven and purpose-led Director of Operations at Anchored Care. As one of the organisation’s co-founders, Eche brings a wealth of experience across nursing, chaplaincy, and disability support, all of which deeply inform her leadership style and commitment to people-centred care.

    Eche is known for her passion, empathy, and unwavering dedication to excellence. Her journey into the humanity sector has been shaped by a genuine love for people and a desire to see services delivered with both heart and precision. With a strong operational mind and a nurturing spirit, she plays a pivotal role in shaping systems that uphold Anchored Care’s values while empowering both staff and participants to thrive.

    Prior to co-founding Anchored Care, Eche worked as a Registered Nurse, Chaplain, and Disability Support Worker—experiences that equipped her with a unique blend of clinical insight, emotional intelligence, and frontline understanding of care delivery. Her leadership is both strategic and deeply personal, always driven by a key goal: to ensure every participant receives care that is not only excellent, but truly personalised.

    Outside of her professional world, Eche is vibrant and full of life. She’s often found cooking up a storm or hosting friends and family with her signature warmth and humour. She loves dancing, reading, window shopping, and immersing herself in music, podcasts, or a good book. Her presence is uplifting and inspiring—both in the workplace and beyond.

  • Sue

    Risk & Compliance Coordinator
    My background for last 10 years has been in Administration with an emphasis on Compliance and Procurement.

    I love to organise things. My passion is having the ability to support my team/co-workers by keeping all the behind-the-scenes systems set up efficiently and user-friendly so that the team can keep their focus on delivering excellent personalised care.

    I have always felt that one of my strengths is to support both my co-workers and the participants to feel engaged with our goals irrespective of background, age, race and religion.

    Anchored Care appealed to me with their integrity and dedication in striving to bring the best service to the participants with a personal delivery that makes one feel they have their best interests at heart, and they do this all with a smile.

    Anchored Care excites me in a way that I believe has our staff and participants first and foremost as their main concern and they bring a passion and a good bit of laughter with this professional integrity.

  • Tara

    Service Delivery Manager

    Tara brings a wealth of experience and a deep passion for person-centred service delivery to her role as Service Delivery Manager at Anchored Care. With over three years of experience within the NDIS sector and a solid foundation of five years in nursing, she is deeply committed to fostering consistency, communication, and meaningful relationships across all aspects of care.

    Her journey with Anchored Care has been one of alignment and shared purpose. Tara resonates strongly with the organisation’s mission and values, which reflect her own dedication to excellence, integrity, and empowering both staff and participants alike. She firmly believes that sustainable, high-quality care is only possible when staff feel supported, valued, and inspired to grow.

    Tara is known for her relentless drive for improvement and a mindset rooted in excellence. Her leadership is underpinned by a belief that investing in people—both team members and participants—is key to delivering services that truly stand the test of time.

    Outside of her professional role, Tara leads a vibrant and active life. She is a proud mum, an early riser with a disciplined 3:30am gym routine, and a strong advocate for personal wellbeing and self-love. She enjoys time outdoors with her young family, exploring lakes, mountains, and nature trails. A dedicated NRL and EPL fan, Tara also manages her own podcast and online business, continuing to inspire others through her authenticity and drive.

  • Faith

    Senior Care Coordinator

    Faith is a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Coordinator at Anchored Care, bringing a rich background in education, inclusive support, and leadership to the team. With over a decade of international experience in the Middle East, she has held various middle management roles, specialising in supporting individuals with learning difficulties, particularly those on the Autism Spectrum.

    Faith's expertise lies in developing Individual Support Plans (ISPs) and tailored learning strategies, drawing from her extensive teaching background and ongoing postgraduate studies in Autism Studies. Her academic pursuits continue to deepen her understanding of neurodiversity and reinforce her commitment to person-centred care.

    Prior to joining Anchored Care, Faith also worked as a Support Worker and Team Leader, where she developed strong frontline experience and a practical understanding of delivering compassionate, high-quality support. Her diverse skillset and calm, empathetic approach make her a trusted guide for participants and families navigating the NDIS.

    What sets Faith apart is her heartfelt connection to the mission and values of Anchored Care. She describes the organisation as a place where she feels truly at home—professionally and personally. The culture of empowerment and growth has not only supported her development but also inspired her to uplift others and champion their journeys toward independence and fulfilment.

    Outside of work, Faith enjoys hiking, cooking, and baking, and treasures quality time with her husband and two boys. She is an avid traveller who delights in discovering new places and cultures, always embracing life with warmth, curiosity, and purpose.

  • Tom

    Care Coordinator

    Tom brings a dynamic and people-focused approach to his role as Care Coordinator at Anchored Care, with a career journey that reflects both heart and hands-on experience. With a professional background in hospitality and small business ownership, Tom made a pivotal shift into the disability sector through the Micah Project’s Inclusive Employment Program—supporting people with disabilities to enter the workforce via hospitality pathways.

    Inspired by the meaningful impact of that work, Tom transitioned fully into disability support, later stepping into leadership roles including SIL Team Leader and office-based positions managing rosters and compliance. His natural leadership skills and passion for quality service eventually led to a promotion as Service Delivery Manager, where he successfully led a team of Care Coordinators. Now back in a Care Coordinator role, Tom remains deeply committed to empowering participants and delivering services that truly reflect their individual needs and goals.

    Known for his down-to-earth nature and quiet determination, Tom thrives in environments where staff strengths are recognised and nurtured. At Anchored Care, he has found a workplace culture that mirrors his own values—where every person is treated with dignity and where excellence in service delivery is a shared commitment.

    Outside of work, Tom is a proud husband and father to a spirited five-year-old daughter. He has a strong interest in MMA and boxing—though he admits he's more comfortable as a spectator than in the ring. He’s also a passionate home cook and enjoys creating meals for his family when time allows. A self-confessed DIY enthusiast (with a few hilarious misadventures under his belt), Tom is always learning and growing—both professionally and personally.

    Senior Participant & Talent Support Officer

    EJ is the quietly powerful force behind the scenes at Anchored Care, serving as the Senior Participant & Talent Support Officer. With over seven years of experience in customer service, EJ brings a passion for problem-solving, relationship-building, and bringing order to chaos—ensuring that both participant experiences and internal operations run smoothly and efficiently.

    EJ thrives on the details that others might miss. Whether it's coordinating services for participants, supporting colleagues behind the scenes, or guiding the recruitment of new team members, EJ works with empathy, intention, and purpose. Their approach is always centred on creating an environment where people—participants and staff alike—feel seen, supported, and valued.

    A natural connector, EJ plays a key role in identifying and onboarding team members who align with Anchored Care’s values. Their involvement in recruitment ensures that every addition to the team enhances the culture of compassion, professionalism, and purpose that defines the organisation.

    What drew EJ to Anchored Care—and continues to be a source of motivation—is the genuine care shared within the team. It’s a workplace where every task, no matter how small, contributes to a bigger vision. EJ embodies the mindset: “How you do anything is how you do everything,” and brings that commitment to every corner of their work—from participant support to talent acquisition.

    Participant Support Officer

    Edmond brings a wealth of experience in operations, leadership, and team development to his role as Participant Support Officer at Anchored Care. Formerly an Operations Manager in the telecommunications industry, he specialised in driving operational efficiency, coaching teams, and implementing performance strategies that consistently exceeded targets. His passion for continuous improvement and people-focused leadership has seamlessly transitioned into the disability support sector, where he now channels those strengths into making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

    At Anchored Care, Edmond finds deep fulfillment in contributing to a team that empowers individuals with disabilities to live more independent, purposeful lives. His work is rooted in values of inclusivity, advocacy, and social justice—principles that guide his commitment to personalised, goal-oriented care. From supporting participants with tailored plans to helping them achieve milestones on their own terms, Edmond is proud to play a role in building a more equitable and supportive society.

    His operational mindset, combined with a genuine desire to see others thrive, allows Edmond to bring structure and care into every interaction. He is particularly passionate about improving systems and strengthening team collaboration, knowing that great care starts with great people working together.

    Outside of work, Edmond enjoys staying active through sports, unwinding with Netflix, and expanding his worldview by studying foreign languages. His love for learning, culture, and growth reflects not only in his personal interests but also in his professional approach—constantly evolving, always making a positive impact.

    Participant Support Officer

    Pia brings a unique blend of psychology, human resources, and customer service expertise to her role as Participant Support Officer at Anchored Care. With a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, she has built a strong foundation in understanding human behaviour, communication, and support—skills that are central to the compassionate care Anchored Care is known for.

    Pia began her professional journey in Talent Acquisition and Development, where she spent three years identifying and nurturing talent. She then spent nearly five years as a Customer Service Representative, refining her interpersonal, problem-solving, and organisational abilities. Her time as an ESL Teacher further sharpened her communication skills and adaptability, allowing her to connect with people from all walks of life.

    At Anchored Care, Pia thrives in an environment that values connection, empathy, and purpose. Being part of a team dedicated to empowering people with disabilities aligns perfectly with her personal values and passion for helping others. For Pia, it’s not just a job—it’s meaningful work that creates lasting impact in people’s lives.

    Outside the office, Pia lives life with energy and creativity. She enjoys reading, playing volleyball, and spending quality time with her family through fun, memory-making activities. A creative at heart, she also has a keen interest in design and enjoys exploring artistic projects during her downtime. Pia’s vibrant spirit and deep commitment to care make her a valued and trusted part of the Anchored Care team.
